10 Feb Courtesy call of H.E. Haakon Blankenborg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Croatia to Minister Šime Erlić
On 6th February 2023 Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Šime Erlić received a courtesy call of Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, H.E. Haakon Blankenborg. On this occasion, the partnership and friendly relations of the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of Norway were confirmed, which is also affirmed by a number of joint projects in different areas.
The Minister thanked the Ambassador for the cooperation so far, especially highlighting the initiatives implemented through the EEA Financial Mechanism and Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
These Mechanisms in the amount of EUR 103.4 million are a valuable contribution to Croatia in the areas of local development, business development, renewable energy sources, justice, civil society and social dialogue.
Ambassador Blankenborg referred to the programs whose implementation is underway and whose results so far show success and indicate that the funds have been well used. He particularly emphasized his satisfaction with the Local development and Poverty Reduction, Energy and Climate Change, and Justice and Home Affairs Programmes.
The Minister and the Ambassador praised the years-long partnership between the two countries and pointed out that they are looking forward to continuation of successful cooperation.
