The Annual event of the RAISE Youth project

The RAISE Youth project Annual Event took place on December 9th in Gospić. The event was attended by the Head of Sector for EU Programmes and International Financial Mechanisms of the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds Ms. Natalija Laštro, Lika-Senj County Mayor Mr. Ernest Petry, a s well as representatives of project partners, public institutions and civil society.

RAISE Youth project coordinator, Ms. Mary Ann Rukavina Cipetić presented the project activities and results achieved in 2022 and introduced the plans for 2023. In the next year the new online market for local products from Lika – Taste Lika will be introduced and the smart aeroponic farm will be developed in Perušić.

As Ms. Rukavina Cipetić pointed out that by December 2022, RAISE Youth project had more than 3000 beneficiaries from the target group which are young people from 20-29 not in employment, education or training (NEET). Number of NEETs enrolled in education and training, including work-based learning reached 2500 while more than 500 NEETs are enrolled in apprenticeships and/or mobility schemes. Out of the target group involved in the project activities from the start, more than 250 got (self)employed and the number of those who started their own business is 120.

This numbers suggest that 9 months before the official end of the project, RAISE Youth project reached almost all the target values for the project deliverables and outcomes. With this in mind, 2023 will be the year for focussing on the quality rather than quantity with the emphasis on building links and sustainability.

After the official presentation the guests were invited to visit the RAISE Youth DEMO Centre in Gospić.
