The Mid- term conference and the annual meeting within the implementation of Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021 in Croatia was held in Zadar on September 21st, 2023.

As a prelude to the conference, on-site visits were organized to the projects that are implemented through related programmes as part of the Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.

The visit to the projects began on September 20th, 2023 with a visit to the project “SuSTainable – Increasing the capacity for solar energy production on public facilities owned by the City of Split”, which is implemented as part of the “Energy and Climate Change” Program. Representatives of the donor countries, the Office for Financial Mechanisms and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, accompanied by representatives of the  Project Promoter(City of Split), visited two locations out of a total of fourteen where photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of buildings owned by the City of Split are being realized as part of the project. In particular, photovoltaic power plants installed on the roofs of the Žnjan-Pazdigrad Primary School and the Pujanke Primary School were visited. In conclusion, they visited the building of the future Municipal Court in Split, which is being renovated and equipped as part of the implementation of the “Justice and Home Affairs” Program.

The following day, September 21, 2023, the respective conference was held, while during the event representatives of the “Energy and Climate Change” Program participated and presented the current results of the Program too. Also, the results of the two Programme`s ongoing projects were disclosed, namely, “Installation of seawater heat pumps for the needs of Dubrovnik city swimming pool” by the Project Promoter City of Dubrovnik and the project “Good energy – solar energy for energy transition” on behalf of the Project Promoter Istrian County.
