The first three Calls for project proposals in the scope of the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme published on 14th September were closed on 15th December 2021.
The Call for project proposals “Increased solar energy production capacity” attracted the attention of 55 potential Project Promoters. In the scope of the Call for project proposals “Energy production from the sea” 4 project proposals were submitted and 26 applications were submitted in the scope of the Call for project proposals “Technical documentation for geothermal energy”.
A total of 85,375,155.06 EUR has been requested for a total of 85 project proposals; 37,667,155.34 EUR was requested in the scope of the Call ” Increased solar energy production capacity”, 8,998,672.83 EUR in the scope of the Call “Technical documentation for geothermal energy” and 3,709,326.89 EUR in the scope of the Call” Production of energy from the sea “.
The grant award procedure is carried out by the Programme Operator in line with the provisions of each of the Call for Proposals and lasts a maximum of 180 calendar days.
The first contracts in the scope of the Calls for project proposals are expected to be signed in the first quarter of 2022.
