Study visit in the scope of the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme

The study visit of the Programme Operator of the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme to Norway took place from 24th to 29th  April 2022.

The concept of the study visit was divided into political level activities with the participation of the Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Nataša Tramišak and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Zdenko Lucić. The operational level activities were attended by the representatives of the Programme Operator and the Programme Partner Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar.

The aim of the political delegation’s visit was to exchange experiences and discuss the results and future of the Programmes financed in the scope of the Financial Mechanisms of the European Economic Area. For this matter, the meetings were held in the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Oil and Energy of the Kingdom of Norway.

At the operative level of the Programme, a meeting of the Cooperation Committee was held in the scope of the study visit. The representatives of the Programme Operator and the Programme Partner were presented with the best practice examples related to the focus of the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme – utilization of the energy from the sea, geothermal and solar energy as well as best-practice examples of the nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB).

In this respect, on-the-spot visits were made to the Munch Art Museum, the SINTEF building and Airport Gardermoen in Oslo, Nordfjordeid Fjordvarme in Nordfjord, Power House Brattøra as well as the Research Centre on Zero Emission Buildings (ZEB) and Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (ZEN) in Smart Cities in Trondheim.

The study tour was organized in cooperation with the Norwegian Directorate for Water Resources and Energy as the Programme’s Donor Partner.
