08 Nov Virtual Matchmaking event of the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme held
The first virtual Matchmaking event with the purpose of connecting potential Applicants from the Republic of Croatia and donor countries held on 5th November 2021 attracted the high interest of potential Applicants of the currently open Calls for Proposals of the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme.
The representatives of the Programme Operator and the Donor Programme Partner – the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate presented the currently open Calls for Project Proposals “Increased solar energy production capacities”, “Production of energy from the sea” and “Technical documentation for geothermal energy“ and pointed out the importance of developing bilateral partnerships not only in the framework of open Calls but also as a long-term means of transferring knowledge and best practice examples in the use of energy from renewable sources.
In three virtual rooms, potential project Applicants from Croatia presented their project ideas and with the support of moderators, representatives of the Programme Operator and the Programme Partner Energy Institute “Hrvoje Požar”, exchanged their proposals of joint activities with potential partners from donor countries – Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
The virtual room “Increased solar energy production capacities” involved the participation of 30 stakeholders, while 5 stakeholders participated in the virtual room “Production of energy from the sea” and 10 stakeholders in the virtual room “Technical documentation for geothermal energy”.
In order to create project partnerships and successfully submit project proposals within the open Calls, the contacts of registered stakeholders were exchanged among the participants of the virtual event.
